Audio feedback is crucial to collaboration over screen-share. If you’re not hearing your expert, here are a few steps you can take:
- Wait a few moments: The first time you join Zoom, you need to set up the audio preferences by selecting either Join by Computer Audio (recommended) or Join by Phone (for when you’re working from a computer with no functioning mic).
- Volume settings: Make sure your volume is turned up. If your speakers are malfunctioning, you can try plugging in headphones—this will often fix the issue.
- Restart the session: Once in awhile the connection to zoom can be bad. Try quitting Zoom and joining the session again from your Join Session link.
- Restart your computer: If all else fails, sometimes you’ll need to restart your computer and try again.
