In order to have a successful session, there are a few things you can do to prepare effectively:
Read the client’s brief & goals
Make sure you understand the nature of the issues they are trying to solve. Note anything that’s unclear so you can address it at the beginning of the session.
If you’re not sure how to solve their issue, but think you have an idea, do some quick research to be better prepared for your session.
Prepare your computer
Do what you need in order to present a professional experience for your client. Clear your desktop, mute notifications, put on headphones, and find a quiet space with strong WiFi.
Join the session on time
Punctuality goes a long way, if you’re already in the screen-share waiting for your client when they arrive, their welcome will be that much better.
